I need to buy a new ignition switch and a new lock on the glove compartment for a car.....

But when i get these replaced i dont want to carry around a seperate key just to turn on the car...

so my question is...
can a locksmith or someone else change the key settings of the new locks to match my original car key?.....

the car is a 1994, so it doesnt have those micro chip keys.....

Yes they can but it would probably be cheaper to change all the locks to match.

Yes a good locksmith can re-key a simple pin and tumbler lock as long as they can take it apart.
