O.k. my boyfriend got in a car wreck about a month ago and we didn't have collision on the insurance. He was in the wrong so the car didn't get fixed my the insurance company. We don't have the money to get the car fixed right now because we've already received an estimate for over $4,000. The car was drivable until yesterday he was parking the car when the rod that turns the wheels went "cluck" So now the car won't move at all. It starts up perfectly fine but won't move because of the broken rod. I or "we" need to know the next step we should be doing. Besides finding a tow truck.........

I recently drove somewhere and my car wouldn't start up again when it was time to leave. Someone told me that it could only be a few things, because my battery was charged. It just wasn't turning over. He thought it was the fuel filter, besides a family member had told me that they had smelled gas recently? Do you believe it's the fuel filter if the fuel pump is working?

I bought some custom wheels and matching tires with a maximum tire pressure of 44. Everytime I go to get my oil changed or have any maintenance done, the idiot mechanics keep adjusting the inflation down to 32, the standard stock tire pressure. Is it safe to drive around with the tires that low? Am I wearing down the life of my tires this way?

Now it's leaking where the axle ties into the transmission. I took it back to the dealer who says it needs a seal where the axle goes into the transmission. This means I have to pay to have the axle taken off, a seal put in and the axle reinstalled. Shouldn't that have been put in as part of the original job? I don't mind spending money but I don't want to be ripped off. Thanks

While driving to work my temp gauge went from normal to the red instantly. The engine coolant level dry. I added coolant and while driving home again the temp gauge went to red. I turned the heat off and the temp gauge went down to normal. This took a minute to happen. My first thoought the thermostat was bad. Replaced the thermostat and let the car warm up for a while and turned the heat on. Nothing but cold air. Check the thermostat in boiling water and it open up. Before replacing the thermostat I drive to and from work without a thermostat in the car. Everything was normal except that I was cold inside. What could be wrong?

While I was driving on a small street, I was distracted for literally about 1 sec. THere was a lot of traffic so the light was changing and we would move up little by little. The car in front of me stopped, and I noticed it too late. I slammed on the breaks, but my car skidded into hers. It was hardly any damage, just my lisence plate imprinted on her bumper. I dont think that she contacted he insurance. Can this damage be buffed out of her bumper, or will she need a new bumper completely?
Either way, how screwed am I??

I have a 98 GMC Jimmy that has 110,000 miles on it. I have noticed that after every couple days there is a silver-dollar sized pool of engine oil in the garage. Is this normal for a car this old? or should I investigate it further? What are some of the likely places the oil might come from...is it likely a seal or gasket somewhere, or could it be more serious?

Our automatic car window on the driver's side has crapped out, and it's down... It's snowing right now in Detroit, and tomorrow we have to drive downtown. How much would it cost to repair this window? We have very little money. My Mother is having a panic attack, and I googled it and tried pulling up the window, but that did not work at all. We are not technical people. Please help, if you can give an estimate, it would be greatly appreciated.
