I have a 98 GMC Jimmy that has 110,000 miles on it. I have noticed that after every couple days there is a silver-dollar sized pool of engine oil in the garage. Is this normal for a car this old? or should I investigate it further? What are some of the likely places the oil might come from...is it likely a seal or gasket somewhere, or could it be more serious?

Probably the oil cooler lines. As mentioned these GM vehicles are notorious for this.
Also the oil filter adapter is very pron to leaking.
The oil pressure sending unit sometimes also leaks.

Oil Cooler Lines are notorious leakers on the Jimmy with the 4.3 V6. These run from the engine to the oil cooler up by the radiator. If one blows out completely you can lose all the oil in the engine within seconds. Have them checked before that happens.

Could be from the drain plug. Could be from the pan gasket. Could be from the rear main seal. Look at the underside of your engine to pinpoint it.

it could be dripping from any number of places. with that many miles, I'd suspect a seal is leaking. can be expensive to repair.
