I already replaced the multi-function turn signal device and it still does it. I've had it diagnosed and that's what it said it was. The left signal will not work at all, then you have to turn the hazard on and off to get it to work a few times. Any info would be appreciated.

I left out that this is on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I already replaced the entire multi-function switch which has the turn signals, lights and hazard all in one. The left light will blink, then on the next turn, won't (not even light up). But, if you turn the hazards on then off (while the left turn signal is on), the left blinker will work for a few more turns. I have no problems with the right.

Normally I would say the problem could be in the hazard switch - which cuts the circuit to the turn signals. Unfortunately you are only have a problem with the left turn signal, which rules out the hazard switch (which would effect both left and right equally). That leaves a wiring problem on the left side circuit. Only way to check that is to run the wires til you find the problem.

sound like a cheverolet. I had one and it did it too. try putting a light lubricant on the hazard button and let it run down into the switch. put a little spray on it for every 10- 20 times you work the hazard switch. if you work it for 2-3 minutes and spray it every couple of seconds it will work in no time. When I replaced my switch the new one gave me problems too, at first. Light oils- PB blaster, WD-40, Liquid wrench
