My 96 Intrepid (150000 miles) makes a loud clunking noise when either turning sharply or when accelerating quickly or up a steep hill. I am pretty sure the CV joints need to be replaced, but am wondering if those symptoms are all consistent with that or if it may also be the air filter, or possibly a timing belt issue. Any ideas??

Does anyone know the website that allows you to choose your car and place the rims on them to get a visual of how your ride will look with the rims.

I dropped it off at 10am and I'm just wondering how long it generally takes before the diagnosis is complete (assuming they start on it right away- which is unlikely). I'm trying to figure out why it's jerking/ shaking and my RPM meter fluctuates when I'm at a stop and is worse when the heat is on. It actually shut off this morning! (hit adeer, but cosmetic damage is fixed) Also, what are the pros/ cons of a diagnostic test? I'm being charged $93 for the test, does that sound ok?

I hardly ever drive my car(1999 Dodge Neon, two door)...I drove it a short distance-less then a mile and it overheated. The mechanic I took it to said there was a huge crack in the radiator and he'd get the part and do the labor for $325. I called some auto part places and I found I can get a new radiator w/lifetime warrenty for $143 for my model. I went back and asked what he'd charge for labor if I just bought the part- he said $80. If I need to replace the radiator is there another part I should be concerned about? I heard somewhere you should always replace the theremostat when you replace the radiator. I just really need to make sure everythings running right before I pack up my car and move to Montana (from Cali). And I want to know just what I need so I don't get swindled. Help much appreciated.

Yesterday I was driving with a friend on a rural road when we both heard a loud pop and discovered the rear windshield was blown out. At first it sounded as though we blew a tire but the car was completely under control and when I looked behind me I saw there was a hole in the windshield about the size of a small acorn.

We were the only car on the road so I know we weren't rear ended. The road was completely paved so chances are it was not a rock.
Lastly, the car was a minivan and shards of glass imploded all the way to the front seats atleast 10 feet from the windowframe.

What could have caused this?

Is it possible someone took a pot shot at me with a gun?

What do truckstops do with their waste oil? How do they clean up an oil or fuel spill? Do they sweep it down the drain, put kitty-litter down then sweep it up and throw it out, call out the environmental group to clean it up?

Hello!
I have an Opel Corsa C from year 2001 with about 45000 km on board. I have the following problem:
Sometimes the charge sign is not turned off after engine start.
After couple of minutes (not more than 5) driving I restarted the engine and this time the light is turned off.
Could anybody give me a hint what could happened? Could this behavior be the result of low temperature? Is it safe to drive with this behavior?
Thanks

Its a 1989 Ford Probe, manual transmission, new battery, starter is about 2 years old. I believe it might have run out of gas, and it has EFI. When I try to start it, it will crank but not fire. I can hear a click click click sound as it cranks. I believe its a fuel pump but would like some input. anyways to test this?

I don't know what to say??? But the car is just very shakey and mostly dies in the morning with first heat up. I have to depress the acceleration peddle to get the car started and working for at least 2 minutes till it picks up on it own. The bigger problem is that when the car gets more and more warmer the performance improves, but when it gets 'hot" the car starts to lose power and to hear a jiggling sound from the engine bay like as if it is coming from the pistons or something. like something is knocking each other. What could that be? And how to fix my problem.
