The general rule of thumb is the paint should be allowed to cure for 90 days. So next month would be a safe bet.

Use any non-abrasive wax that is labeled for clear coat finishes. Don't use a "cleaner-wax", you don't need it on a new vehicle and if you wax it every few months you never will need it. And NEVER use a polishing compound on a clear coat finish, you'll destroy it in short order.

Black cars can be fun but be sure to use clean towels.

Go to Autozone/Pep Boys and get those microfiber towels you see, well worth the money. If you are doing it by hand then get the applicator pads as well. If you want to use a machine I reccommend the Meguiar's G100 or Porter Cable 7424 (same units search them on google.)

With a brand new car a simple application of clay bar after washing (NEVER USE DISH SOAP) will clean the surface and get any crud out of the paint.

Scratch X from Meguiar's can remove small hairlines and light swirling

Use either #80 speed glaze or Paint Polish Step 2 from Meguiar's

Finally either Meguiar's NXT Wax or Meguiar's Mirror Glaze.

Tires you can use Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Spray

for all black plastic go with Meguiar's Interior Shine on cladding outside and dash inside.

A foam window cleaner such as Power Clean and a 000 steel wool pad (used lightly) can remove any streaking or rain lines on the window.

If your wheels are painted (silver but with a clear coat) using a wax is best over wheel cleaner as the cleaner eats away at clearcoat.

If your car is brand new then I would wax it 2x a year if your car is a few years old then wax it 4x a year and the best time or place to wax it is under the shade away from the sun and rain... I hope that this was helpful to you.

after 90 days, wash only with mild soaps also not too often til after then also. then meguiar's wax is the best, my 2 cents worth.
