On monday my service engine light came on about 50 miles after I filled up. I went to a quick lube center to get my belt changed and the tech checked the codes but said I needed to take my car to a GM dealership because they didn't have the codes in their system. He said that it wasn't anything specific and turned the light off for me. Well, on wednesday after i filled my car the light came on again, a while later while driving in town the light went off and then this morning it came on again after an 80 mile drive. Why is it doing this? It is a 1999 Oldsmobile alero 2 door v6

Just purchased a 95 Olds Silhouette, 3800 engine, 4t60e auto trans. The trans wont go into gear. Any gear. I put the selector in reverse, the reverse lights come on, but no gear. The engine lowers its idle a little when put into a gear, but have no motion. Tried spiking the gas in reverse and drive hoping it was vacuum problem, didnt go in. Not sure where to go from here. Transmission flush? Maybe something is stuck? I have checked the fluid, it is full (perhaps a little over), and the linkage is attached and working. I am unfamiliar with this trans, so i dont know what common things cause this. The van has 136000 miles. Thanks in advance for any help!

If you are looking at an automotive electrical wiring chart what symbols would be used to represent the wiring of (1) a throttle actuator (2) a step up coil (3) reed switches (4) a seperate ECU cruise control circuit. In other words, what type of wiring would it be classified as, so that I can find it on a wiring chart? Thanks!

I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu with 18000 miles on it that I just bought in August. Lately when I go to start it, I have to lay on the ignition for a few seconds longer than usual before the engine starts. It started late November and happened maybe 1 every 10 starts or so, but now it's doing it 1 every 5 starts. It has started everytime so far, but it worries me because I'm afraid one of these times it won't. It's not because the engine is cold either because it does it even when my car has been in the garage. Anyone know what's causing this delay in it starting?

car ran like a dream put gas in one night & next morning when i started it it stalled right away it will run only if i hold the revs quite high, i changed the fuel filter & pump, throttle position sensor, injector thing (small round piece on top of carb), did electrical bypass & it still stalled, was told it didnt have a computer to get trouble codes, would the regulator have anything to do with this problem, any suggestions would be really appreciated as i cant really afford to put it in a shop

I have a 98 Chevy c1500 with a 4.3 v6. I just changed all my gaskets on the upper end and all is well, I also just had to replace the fuel pump and it starts up fine and runs well, but I am trying to figure out why the fuel pump will not shut off after I kill the engine. I woke up this morning to a dead battery after installing the new pump last night. Could it a bad fuel pump relay switch?
