So the guy at NAPA sells me some 2 cycle oil that is good for up to 1 gallon of gas......he also says that it mix's at a ratio of 50 to 1. If my pocket bike says 25 -30 to 1 will it hurt the engine by using a 50 to 1 mix? I want to be sure because i have 2 of them waiting to be fired up for my son's on Christmas day, but I dont want to ruin the engine on the first day out. ....by the way, ... they both came with a premixing bottle to measure the correct amount......., i know ...i know ... i should just use the premixing bottle,...... however......i'm just wondering how i can make this simple to use for myself and my sons.... .... for example filling up a(1) gallon gas can that is properly premixed.

I mean lubeit places say 3000 miles. Some say 5000 some 6. I have gone as much as 20000 but then my engine blew up so that was probably not a good idea. What do you think? Someone I know said 3000 miles is actually bad for an engine because it runs too clean

It's awfully expensive, and I'm wondering how long it lasts. I'm also wondering if it is harmful to the paint.

I have a 91 Chevy Suburban 1/2 ton 4x4 automatic transmission. My son hit a dog (pitbull) after another car did first. It hit under the truck from front to back causing the emergency brake cable to dangle and we can't seem to see how it was connected. Are there clips or clamps, tacked? I worry it will catch on something so we aren't driving it.Please any help is appreciated.

Ok, my husband and I are having this argument. He revs the engine so much that I can hear it from inside. He basically drives like a maniac, changing lanes excessively to get around traffic, and he is hard on the gas and break pedals. I told him these things are hard on the engine, he doesnt need to rev so hard to warm up the car, and we really arent in so much of a hurry that he would need to drive how he does. I think he is harming the engine faster than if he were easier on the car. He thinks I'm wrong. Who is correct?

Thanks!

I found out on my 87 Ranger that the heater hose is leaking a little and all the hoses are original. As I have posted before sometimes it runs warm. Not overheating but getting to about 3/4 on the temp gague then dropping down. Could the leaks cause a pressure issue that could do this? I was gonna do the thermostat, but I fear the hose may disintegrate

I know this is rather basic question, but when I'm moving off when can I burn the clutch in my car? Is it when I'm missing biting point or clutch is low close to the ground, or maybe it's somehow connected with acceleration? Please help me. Begginer

I have a 1988 Olds Delta 88 the car will go untill it is warmed up then the tranny just slips into a no go gear so I pull over turn the car off and just out of spite I start the car again put it in gear and it will go for another block or so fluid is ok, when I start it up there is usually a wining sound, it also does the same thing when the electric connector is unplugged, now the vacume module on the front of the tranny when I took it off there is fluid dripping out from the inside of it and the little nipple on the end is not firm against the seal it will just flop about half way in and out is that normal or maybe I could get lucky and that would solve my problem?

I know it depends on many factors like how the vehicle was driven, scheduled maintenance, etc. Just want to know the average life taking everything into consideration. All responses are appreciated!

my 95 cutlass supreme had a leak in a hose a sprayed antifrezze everywhere. after cutting the hose where the hole was at and putting it back on we also replaced the thermostat and kept it stocked with 50/50 antifrezze. it still overheats but it blows out cold air. i was told it could be the radiatior, the water pump, the heater core, or that the antifrezze had anough time to get back into the motor after it went bone dry from the leak. any luck?
