Depends on what type of car wash.

If it's an automatic one that you just drive through at a gas station, then either go inside the station or to the entrance of the car wash to pick a wash option (I usually choose the best available) and pay. Then just follow the instructions (When the light says drive forward, drive forward. When the light says stop, then stop.)

If it's one that's done by people, just drive up to the entrance, and they normall ask you what you would like done and then they just take your car from you and wash it. You can go inside the building to pay and wait - most places have a little sitting area with snack machines, tv, magazines, etc.

The other type is where you wash the vehicle yourself. Be armed with bunches of quarters, put the quarters in the slot, and then just follow the directions that are on the machines. They usually have tools to wash the exterior as well as vacuums to vacuum out the interior.

Hope this helped!

I only wash mine at home by hand. The pressure of the car washes is very bad for your paint's finish. The less water pressure applied to your paint the better.
