the low coolant level sensor is either bad, or the contact inside the radiator is contaminated with old coolant residue kind of a slime. take it out, clean it real well with hot tap water and a soft brush. reinstall it. should be fine. the sensor likely is in the plastic radiator tank ,near the top, on the right side, passenger side tank of the radiator.it also could be in the bottom of the coolant reservour. not sure on this model.

There is a sensor that senses the level, it may be disconnected or is defective. It will be in the reservoir sticking out the side. If you have a volt meter and know how to use it, check for the presence of voltage on the wire that plugs into it, a certain level, probably 12 volts should be there and it switches to almost 0vdc when all is well and it is sensing. It is a simple 1 wire circuit. That is most likely the problem, look for the easy stuff.

Best to have it checked by a qualified mechanic. I would first make sure that coolant is actually flowing through the system. One way to do this is to unclamp one of your radiator hoses, put a big bucket under it and start the engine. If coolant is flowing then it is making it to the radiator. If it seems to be flowing and your car is not overheating then it's most likely a bad sensor which is an easy fix.

If the low coolant easy comes on. It potential the water on your radiator is low. Or the sensor is malfunctioning. verify the coolant reservoir in direction of the front of the engine. If no water or antifreeze is there. Fill it up. If it quite is finished, unplug the two wires going to the sensor. the sunshine ought to pass out. If it does, it quite is the sensor. now and back you may jiggle the sensor and it will relax. do no longer open the radiator cap if the engine is warm. permit it cool off and then verify the water point. good success

Have you had the computer sensors re set?? A typical issue with newer cars that have computers and lights for things like their gas level and coolant level is that once the light has been tripped the computer needs to be reset. All you need to do is have someone reset the computer and you should be fine.

The lite means low coolant in the reservoir that is attached by a small hose to the radiator fill spout. Not the coolant level in the radiator.
