Ring 01642604060 they can supply you with a brand new one for around £300 a gasket is around £20 and labour ( here in the north east ) is around £80 ,
What makes you so sure that your head is knackered ?
Chances are you get it skimmed and pressure tested ( cost £70 ) and just refit it with a new gasket .
Alternative you could just exchange the full motor with a 2nd hand one ( Scrap yard`s are reluctant to break a good engine so the chances of you getting a good cylinder head are very slim ) a 2nd hand motor will cost around £200 +£100 to fit it .

Focus on a different car. You might pay $1500-$2000 to repair this car if you want it done right, and still there are other potential problems that will pop up. There isn't much life left in it anyway. Have you ever replaced an engine? Do you want practice doing it? Go to the salvage yard and practice so you'll be good at it by the time you need to on that little Ford.

If it needs a new head then probably around £600 if you get a second hand head. If its just the head gasket including skimming around £300 depending on where you are in the country.

I'd be inclined to fix it as if your selling it for scrap you only get its scrap value ie about £40.

how do you know the head cant be repaired, normally the head is removed, inspected for cracks (very unlikely on this engine), refaced and then refitted to car using new gaskets and bolts, the cost will be around £400 at an independent garage

Depends on whether you take a chance and get one from a scrapyard or a new one.

If you can find a good one from a scrapyard it will cost you about £40.........a new or recon one will set you back HUNDREDS.

Try Ebay......

I bet you could easily find one for $150.
I'd fix it up if you have a little experience with cars.
