radiator drain plugs, more commonly called pitcocks, are usually located at the bottom corner left or right side. ive removed and repaired hundreds of them and ive never seen one without a pitcock. they may be hidden, but they are there

I've never seen a radiator with a drain plug. What I tend to do is unscrew the lower hose clamp and take off the hose.

If it's a little better when it's moving, it's probably a clogged radiator. 14 years is pretty old for one. A blown head gasket can be found with a little device good mechanics have that finds exhaust gas in the cooling system. Don't put a scavenged radiator in. Fork out $100 for a new one.

Not all radiators have a drain plug.

You have to search it on the lower parts of the radiator. if can't find it, access it or if it doesn't have any, you should take the lower hose off so the coolant can be drained.

TYPICALLY A RADIATOR'S DRAIN PLUG OR PETCOCK IS LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF YOUR UPPER RADIATOR HOSE. DO TO MORE AND MORE COMPACT DESIGNS, I HAVE SEEN RADIATORS THAT HAVE A DRAIN PLUG THAT IS LOCATED ON THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR AND EXTEND THROUGH A SMALL HOLE CUT OUT IN THE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT...VERY HARD TO SEE UNLESS YOU ARE UNDER THE VEHICLE.

Sorry to bum you out, but some cars don't have drain plugs.

You may not have one. You'll probably have to loosen the lower radiator hose to drain it.
