Im amazed that people just give random answers to SAFETY CRITICAL questions in the maintnance part of the cars and transportation section, if your not a fully qualified mechanic, why answer as you could be putting the driver, passengers and members of the public at risk

Vehicle is a 91 Chevy S10 Blazer with a 4.3L TBI V6. When vehicle is cold and warming up it hesitates a little bit, but gets worse when warmed up. Heat seems kind of weak coming out of the vents too. When i stopped into autozone for 5 minutes, it seems like the temp needle dropped alot.

My oil pressure has gone down (the neddle always points to the N in the "normal" label) i was wondering if this is ok or should i be looking for a new engine? its a 5.0 (302) V8 with 125,000 miles. also the neddle does not move from that spot at all.

I have a 1994 Saturn SL1. I gave in and went to one of those "chain" oil change stores for the mere convience of it. I had gone over my 3000 mile oil change date and had barely any oil left. Then, the guy that was under my car said i was leaking a lot of oil...that explains the oil stains in my boyfrinds beautiful driveway! I saw it myself and it is defiently leaking, they werent trying to scam me!

So he said i need a new gasket/oilpan and the part is less than $10 (i looked it up) but I know that the labor is expensive. He said i should find a friend that knows cars to do it so it isnt so expensive.

My question is...do i need to do it? At least not for a few months (after the holiday season?) My brother says that i dont have to, i should just check the oil more frequently. Is this true?

I KNOW that the best idea is to do it, but is it TOTALLY mandatory?

driving down the highway I smell antifreeze, next thing I know the truck is kinda chuggin along as I pull to the side I looked at engine and saw that one of the radiator hoses had come off and all fluid had leaked out, so I had it towed home filled it back up but now it wont start and it dont sound normal when I try to start it sounds like its lost all power to start and makes half an attemp to any suggestions?

My Dodge won't start when it is below 35 degrees outside. I have replaced the coil and battery, I have tried putting a light under the hood, in the interior, and tried jump-starting it. All of these have not seemed to help at all. I was thinking that it could be the ignition switch. If the switch was not passing enough voltage it would cause the car to not even try to spark - which is what it is doing. Is there anything else that could be causing me to have this problem? HELP PLEASE!!! Every hour that passes is one less hour I have to spend with my ride!

They have been popping the locking gas caps off and siphoning the gas out. I ahve heard of coils and balls you can put into the gas line but can't find them. I just want gas to go in , not out.

Essentially I don't know much about auto body but if you google $50.00 paint job a lot of people have done this already and the results turn out great. They use a combination of rustoluem and wet sanding between coats. When they are finished it looks great. Does anybody know anything about the cons of this. One person owned his car for 6 years now and it hasen't chiped!!!!
