My oil pressure has gone down (the neddle always points to the N in the "normal" label) i was wondering if this is ok or should i be looking for a new engine? its a 5.0 (302) V8 with 125,000 miles. also the neddle does not move from that spot at all.

As long as you have oil pressure that is all that i would worry about! I had a 1985 Lincoln Continental with a 5.0 (302) V8, it had well over 197,000 miles on it before it quit running, and it was a serious electrical problem which is why it stopped running.!! Don't worry, its a good engine.

if it doesnt move at all, check the oil sending unit.a 302 is a damn good engine.i kinda doubt it if you need a engine, just change the unit and see if it helps.125,000 miles is nothing,it just means it has been driven that far.its all on how its been taken care of.

check the sending unit and all the connections. I had a 97 with 130,000 miles on it and it was running strong. as long as you have pressure you should be fine.

It's more likely the sender. That motor is a great one and should last twice that long if it's taken care of.
