i have an 88 buick with the 3.8 i bought the car the guy said that it jumped time. i replace the chain and both gears. put it back together and no start. so i put a new coil pack and crank sensor and cam sensor and the little magnet on the cam gear put new wires on it to. i took on of the plugs out to see if it gets spark it does but i think it seems a little weak not to sure. the fuel pump cuts on like its suposed to. it just turns over and over and every now and again it back fires but thats rare and suggestion would be great thanks.

My 97 Grand Am that I just bought,The woman I got it from took it to a repair shop and they said it was a bad O2 sensor. It runs great till it warms up all the way, then it bucks intermitently but not all the time, would an O2 sensor act more constant,or will they act up periodically?it reminds me of a bad fuel filter, any Ideas?

I have an 86 1/2 Toyota Supra that I keep in a garage. I last changed the oil in July 2005. I haven't driven the car in 6 months, and I'm wondering what I should do to keep the car from deteriorating.

My brakes broke today. when I went to push on the brakes, my car slammed forward and made this loud sound like metal slamming into metal. My brakes are so sensitive now. All I have to do is barely touch the brake petal and my car slams forward. The car doesn't seen to have as bad of a problem braking in reverse. What could be wrong?

I own an 04' ford mustang and about 2 weeks ago the battery light came on. So my husband bought a new battery and even clean the prongs for the connection and secured them tightly but it still keeps coming on. Do we need to buy new wires for the connection or is it the alternater or what?

My 4Runner shakes , shimmeys and vibrates when Im driving between 55 and 60mph. If I go slower then 55 or faster then 60 it stops. Had new tires and shocks, steering stablizier, front end alignment and wheels balanced it's helped but it still does it enough to make it annoying!
Coulds it be ball joints, tie rods, or bad bushings?

I have a 2004 Huyndai Elantra with 20,000 miles on it. Some people tell me to add it once a month, others tell me every time I get my oil changed (as a reminder) and some say every 20,000 miles or so. Someone also told me that it's over rated. Who is right?

on my 01 maxima the "service engine soon" light became active a few days ago. i pulled out the code using the OBD code reader from autozone for free. pulled out code P1320 says ignition singnal misfiring, i erased the code with OBD reader the SES light disapeared till then. the OBD couldnt tell me which coil is bad so i am going to wait for the SES light to return that will help me find the bad coil if theres any. so my question is what you think can cause the coil to go bad, i believe if we use the regular 87 octane that can be the cause of bad coil? i dont know alot about this stuff so if anyone knows a little please do share.
