Your car has a head gasket leak. It may LOOK like it's coming from the transmission bellhousing area, but LOOK AGAIN!!! 9.5 out of 10 of these 2.0L SOHC & DOHC engines in the Neons (PL body) & Stratus/Breeze (JA body) will fail the head gasket. The original gasket is a composite style. The replacement head gasket from Chrysler is a layered steel shim type. All Chrysler stores keep many of these gasket sets in stock for very cheap. The failure point on these engines is at the rear. Hope this helps. Good luck.

It's more likely that the oil is coming out of the bell housing. The seal where the crankshaft comes out of the engine into the bell housing is one of the most common places for an oil leak.
