im trying to replace the car part myself i need to know what tool i need to use for my car

what part are you trying to remove? some steering wheels have tamper screws in them and you have to drill them out,

Not much to work with here from your description. I am assuming that you need to remove the steering wheel. You will need a puller, buy one for a few dollars at an auto parts store or rent one if you will not need it again. If the car has an air bag than I will refer you to a competent shop, since these are dangerous to service. If not, the remove the center pad, unscrew the large center nut and insert your puller. There are two bolts on the puller that thread into the steering wheel on each side. Then you just turn the center bolt until the steering wheel is lifted off the tapered shaft.

it will come off easily if you use an air chisel and a large prybar
