I have a 2003 Honda Accord. When I go in reverse, my car begings to make this weird vibrating sound. I have taken off the brakes and my rotors and brake pads are fine. What could be causing this sound? Could it be something else besides the brakes?

I've decided that I want to fit a more powerful turbo-charged engine in my 1.8litre peugeot 205 (1992). Firstly I have not had any experience of this so would it be 'learnable' from the internet/haynes manuals or should I leave to to a professional and if so how much is the bill likely to be. Secondly which diesel engines would be compatible?

I was going to buy another Rx-7 around 100,000 miles on it and place and replace the engine. The car's clutch works fine, the suspension is great, no accidents, just high miles. My question is I guess, If I do this will the car be just as good as new or will I constantly have to restore everything.

93 Taurus power driver seat no longer goes forward or
backwards. When you push the switch back and forth to initiate movement it
just makes a wirrring sound along with a clicking noise. Every other
movement works except front and back.

Is there any easy fix? Could the seat just be off track if you still hear
the motor working? Is there anyway to bypass the power seat to move the seat
back? I would rather not dump a ton of money into it to just fix the seat.

Many thanks!

Ok my bf bought a van from a neighbor. The van runs really good but unable to pass smog. The people who sold the van didn't have current DMV sticker for this year. Now it will cost an arm and legg to fix it to pass then he must pay a late fee just to put the van in his name. Big headache. Help

Apparently my fuel has water in it due to condensation. When removing the Briggs fuel filter, water poured out of it. Did the filter "shut down" the flow so water did not reach carb? Related question: is is adequate to drain bottom portion of fuel tank until no water is visible in the liquid being draned. I'd rather not have to dispose of the entire batch of gasoline if all the water collected at the bottom as would be expected.

Excuse my ignorance; I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to car mechanics beyond changing a tire or oil.

I was told that all BMW's are electronically limited to 150 MPH and that if removed, I will have a greater top speed.

Is this true and if I remove this, will this adversely affect anything else?

Is this complicated to remove?

it has transmission built by mazda. has overdrive with lock-up. 5 out of 10 times, when trans shifts to 3rd gear it goes into neutral. take my foot off gas and reaccelerate goes back into second. some times just coasting it will then shift. other times it will take up to ten miles of driving in second gear before it will shift. all other gears are fine.

The problem is, the metal connectors are surrounded by a larger plastic housing, so it is impossible to clean them with steel wool or something like that. I could maybe fit a q-tip in there, but that about it, not enough space to get a wire brush in there.

The defrost mode is always on, sending cold air in summer in the direction of the windshield rather than out the center dashboard vent. The side vents are ok.
Condensation forming on windshield as a result.
Is it a big job to fix and about what does it cost if I can't do it myself.
Thanks
