I was told the EGR valve, MAP sensor, poss TPS sensor needs replaced. TPS was just replaced apr 05, MAP around the same time frame. Just had a tune-up done Apr 06 - did not have wires replaced.

Van is running real rough. Idles really rough - stalls when I push gas pedal to go. Does not always register when puching gas pedal.

Just had an oil change, and fuel injection cleaning done in Jul. Van ran much better for a little while.

Do I need to replace the EGR valve? If so, any idea on where it is?

While going down the road the car started sputtering like it was not getting any fuel and then quit. Now it will not start and I am thinking it could be the fuel injected fuel pump. What do you think?

I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 that overheats, and I think the water pump or a hose is leaking coolant ... but for now, I was wondering if it was okay to put water in there, as I know there is some coolant left so the mixture should end up as 50/50. I know in older engines this is okay, but I'm not so sure about a turbocharged 4 cylinder.

As we speak my car is abandoned in a parking lot and I need to get it out of there. When I turn the key all I get is a click. My batter is good so it must be the starter. I've heard tapping the starter with a hammer should get it up and running, but where exactly should I tap? I know approximataly where the starter is but with all the parts, I'm not exactly sure where to tap. Any other effective wayst o get the starter to crank would also be very helpful. Thanks

On the jeep.......we've replaced the coil, cap, rotor, plugs wires, and battery. We had to jump it because it's been sitting for so long, it ran for about 10 minutes and automatically shut off; like it lost all power. We tried to start it again, and it will roll over but not fully start. So we let it sit overnight........now this morning........the battery is completely dead again!!! Does anybody have any idea about what needs to be replaced?? I need major help for this, please. Thank you.

I saw an air cooled 5 cylinder german diesel once that was produced with such tight tolerances, it didn't need any gasket until after you took it apart to rebuild it.

My truck bed is beginning to rust. I sanded part of it and sprayed it with primer, but the rust seems to be coming through. What can I do to permanently get rid of the rust so it won't come back? It is starting to get bad because the truck bed holds water when it rains.

I've only had the car 3 months! It is a Toyota Solara. It's dark blue, so the dealership recommended simoniz wax, which we paid 500.00 for. I noticed the bird droppings and washed it right away, so they couldn't have been on there very long. I've never heard of this happening and I'm very upset about it. There is a round, dull spot where the droppings were that will not come off. It literally ate through the simoniz and part of the paint. Any ideas or comments?

The other day my stepdad called the "car doctor" to see how much they owed on their car still....he said about $240. My car's brakes happened to go out so my stepdad asks if he can swap the cars while he takes his to go get the money to pay for it. They trade out the cars & on the way to go get the money my stepdad is arrested and is currently in jail (day 3). However, their car is in the impound somewhere in town but we cannot find it. My question is: can the "car doctor" charge me for their car even though I did not agree to swap them out in the first place? is that legal?

I've overheard a conversation of certain dodgy guys in a public transport & wonder if I get to know how much truth there is in their conversation.

Is it really possible to "reset" or perhaps "fiddle" the numbers of "mileage clock" in the car (or any vehicle) ??? If so how exacly could this be achieved ??? Not that I fancy doing it myself but just intrigued to get to know about it.

How illegal would this be seen in different countries, esp. the UK & the USA ???
