I need to know where to locate the fuel pump under the hood of my 1996 Pontiac Bonneville?

While going down the road the car started sputtering like it was not getting any fuel and then quit. Now it will not start and I am thinking it could be the fuel injected fuel pump. What do you think?

Look in the gas tank for the fuel pump. Check your fuse panel on whether or not your fuse for your fuel pump blew out.

The fuel pump is in the tank. There is an inline filter that you could try to replace. Even if you are getting fuel to your injector system, you need about 60 psi for in to function properly. On the Pontiac there are shrader fittings on the injector lines, your need to put a gauge on those. Even like 40 psi is not enoough, you need 60.
