i have a bmw 2006 with a slow leak on the tread. one of the tire dudes told me to put "fix a flat" good or bad? I went to two tire shops they both told me i should replace the tire. I just have a slow leak on the tread, there isn't a nail, just a slow leak that i have to put air like every 6 days or so. Once i added fix a flat the leak stoped. what should i do..?

Window starts down then stops. Have to wait a few minuets
and try again. Goes down a little more and stops. Same thing happens when I try to get it to go up.

I do change the oil quite regularly. I have also noticed lot of sludge around the filler cap area. The car has approx 120,000 miles and drives great.

I just recently purchased a 2006 Civic SI, which is stock pushing 197 hp. It's a simple question, who can tell me what all mods I can do, how much they will cost, and how much HP they will add?

Also is it true a super/turbo actually hurts your engine and will take years off the motor?

Battery is new with probably only 10 miles or so on it. But hasn't been driven in several months. Now won't start. Husband has Alzheimers & can't remember the settings for charger. It is hooked up but I don't know whether it should be at 12v 2 amp or 12 v 6 amp. Thanks so much

traction bars, they are on both sides and connect around the rear portion of the cab area on a cross frame. They extend back to the rear axle and are bolted on. It looks factory original, but I have never seen anything like this from the factory. Is this some type of strengthing for the frame, or are they ladders bars?

Does the 2000 Honda Civic have a light for the check engine? Mine looks more like a piece of paper than a light, and is barely luminated at night. I need to know if this is normal for civics. Also, the light (paper) was red for an O2 sensor, but when I got some maintainance (belts) done, it turned green, but the OBD sensor still reads the faulty O2 sensor. Any ideas? Also, when I have the car in drive and on the brake (at a stoplight or in an intersection) for more than about 5 sec, the car starts rattling. I just put new shoes, pads, and resurfaced the rotors. Again, any ideas? If you can answer either question, please help me out. Thanks.

I need brakes for all four wheels. The dealer told me they were 60% worn almost 2 years ago. I don't want to be robed by another mechanic just because I'm a female. I was once charged $52 for wipers when I only should have paid around $7.

Plus...Im having a hard time taking off the driver's side back door panel completely to research myself. I have all screws out, but I can't seem to get past the sliding door lock knob. It won't slide through the panel and I don't want to pull to hard to break if off. Any suggestions/tricks/solutions or ideas?

Furthermore, when the ignition is on, the various power-operated features such as the radio, windos, power locks, etc. take turns not working. Should I be checking my fuses or is this something else?

I have a long commute to get to my job and these gas prices are starting to kill my wallet. Are there any good products out there on the market that will increase the Mpg on your car?

This concerns the 93 Taurus with the automatic transmission that goes from 1st to a "neutral" like state and never finds second gear. One suggestion was internal damage "the 2nd clutch is burned up". Would this cause the fluid to be dirty or have a burned odor. Fluid is clear and smells new.
I wonder if there are external problems that could be found. I changed the VSS and checked wires.. No help. Any other common faults external to the transmission? Vacuum lines, PCM issues. An internal failure would be sure death for this car. A rebuild is not fea$able.

Well its an '87 oldsmobile cutlass ciera and it has had problems starting for a while. Now though, it won't even turn over. When you turn the key the only thing i hear is a whining sound. I have a gut feeling its either the starter or the alternator. I brought the battery into advanced auto parts where they checked it and said it was a good battery. Any suggestions on to what it could be? Thanks in advance.
