Does the 2000 Honda Civic have a light for the check engine? Mine looks more like a piece of paper than a light, and is barely luminated at night. I need to know if this is normal for civics. Also, the light (paper) was red for an O2 sensor, but when I got some maintainance (belts) done, it turned green, but the OBD sensor still reads the faulty O2 sensor. Any ideas? Also, when I have the car in drive and on the brake (at a stoplight or in an intersection) for more than about 5 sec, the car starts rattling. I just put new shoes, pads, and resurfaced the rotors. Again, any ideas? If you can answer either question, please help me out. Thanks.

the O2 deal might be because of your intake. Check your air filter and have someone do a diagnostic check on your engine. As far as the breaks and the rattling, might want to look in to having your brakes aligned, or see if your motor mounts are in need of changing. I'm no mechanic, but, I had a used Honda Prelude once. I worked on that damn thing every weekend, till I sold it to another lonely sucker. LOL!!!

Good luck dude.

properly, first of all, changing the oil can no longer help being low on brake fluid. One has no longer something to do with the different. yet to respond to the different question, the examine engine easy comes on whilst any device the computer video reveal gadgets see a sign outdoors the parameters it expects to be sure. yet on occasion issues are short, and the sign returns to regular. whilst that occurs the examine engine easy will reset after a undeniable sort of cycles without a repeat of the difficulty. It does on occasion bypass away the code in reminiscence the place a test can discover it, so your mechanic would discover it.
