Most gas treatments, do nothing to help your engine. The only one that I use, is dry gas, to keep the moisture content, in your tank, to a low level. I use it in the winter time, and when there is a lot of moisture in the air. You need to put one can in your tank, whenever you fill the tank up..

I have graduated with a degree in Automotive Engineering and can confirm most of these treatments do not have any significant impact.
I highly recommend you just service it well, ensure fuel filter and hoses are changed and check your spark plugs and leads and obviously tyres etc.
Finally, if its been well serviced and you still feel the need to clean out the injectors then buy Redex... however, most of the carbon deposits can be burnt off when accelerating really hard for 10 minutes on the highway or something, BUT warm up the engine slowly before hand.
Hopefully that should see you through happy motoring :-)

Gas Treatments are made to clean Carbs and Fuel Injectors, once a month is the tops I would use them because they leave residual chemicals on the pistons and in the chambers of the engine which in itself can cause more problems. Use a better grade of gas, it does the same thing as treatments do.

most gas companies add fuel treatments all ready
chevron tecrolene is one example
if your injectors do need additional cleaning say 3000 to 9000 miles depending on driving habits and where you fill up
i mix my own fuel cleaner that works great its 1 can spray carb cleaner and 1 quart of auto trans fluid into 8 to 10 gals of fuel
it takes approx 50 miles to notice the difference
it wont harm the cat or other fuel system
james is rite about the truck dont fill for 2 hours after the truck was there

I agree with Maria, you should not have to use it if you stick
to brand names gas station. They already put additives in their
fuels. Another good tip NEVER fill up at a station when the
tanker truck is there, its disturbs any water or sediment in the ground tanks and you could pump it into you vehicle. This
can cause all kinds for running problems.

You really shouldn't need to. But if you are insistant upon using it, you need to put gas treatment in your fuel every 4th tank of gas. Good luck.

It depends on what kind you buy. You need to read the recommendations on the labels. In the winter I do it more often than in the summer. If you have injectors you want to get the kind that cleans them. I try to stick to STP products, but there are more expensive ones out there too.
