This is the 2nd vette I've owned (earlier one was a '69) - had it for 8 years and never, never had a problem with the car! What the heck is going on? Have owned this vette for 4 years -bought from a reliable dealer. But....now...car heating up to 240 (in 10 min) again. Billowing steam out through all vents. And on top of that..I just put in a new heater core 10 months ago. I'll call my old boyfriend who worked on the '69 before I go back to the people who sold me this whatever you want to call it! Tried replacing sensor for fan on car...that wasn't it. Thermostat good. Geez! I love my vette....someone tell me why I have to replace this again!! Am I going have to do this every 10 months???? I don't think so!

The car has 84,000 miles on it; during the last 9,000 miles I have replaced the following:

Spark plugs
Plug wires
Distributor cap
Transmission rebuild
Fuel filter
Injector cleaning

The car is sluggish....if I push it to the floor it sticks at about 4,000 rpm's for 10 seconds then shifts and is sluggish still. It feels like a fuel related problem, but the mechanic I took it to found nothing wrong. The car is so slow that a Cavalier could beat it! Anyone have any ideas?

Okay, for the last few days my car was going "wher wher wher" when I tried to start it then it would "catch" and start. When this happened the clock would reset to 12:00. Now this morning it did the "wher" one pathetic time and now all it's doing is clicking... anyone have any ideas what's wrong with it? And prices on fixing it?
One guy at work said "sounds like your starters going" when he heard me starting it the other day. Now this morning a friend of mine told me the clock restarting and the clicking mean I need a new battery.
Thanks

I have recently had another engine and new timing belt kit fitted to my Tigra and when cold there is a ringing sound from the area of the timing belt - oddly when the clutch is slightly pressed it goes and then comes back again on release.

It also disappears when the car has been running a while and the engine is hot. Any ideas please?

Was wondering if my 4 cyl, 176,455 mile Ford Ranger pickup might fair better if I started using 20W-50 motoroil versus 10W-40. Presently, the machine runs perfectly, and does not burn any oil at all. It's been the best vehicle I've ever owned. I'd like to keep it running for as long as it will last. Any advice?

ok heres the deal i have an 1988 F-250,it has the 351w EFI,it currently has an automatic trans in it & in looking to swap it for the 5 speed stick, now i have a 1990 F-150 5.0 EFI,4x4 with the 5 speed stick now,im wondering can i seperate the 5 speed from its transfer case & use it in the F-250 or would i have to hit the junk yard for a 2 wheel drive model?I now people say its alot of work to convert from auto to manual but not really,& the truck is in awsem shape, now the 1990 thats another story it is all rotted and a blowen motor.if it will work can i use the tail housing from the auto since the 5 speed does not have one since it goes in the transfre case, also will the auto flex plate work, becouse when i took the 5 speed 4x4 out i took it up to the car wash to rinse it off & well i forgot the flex plate at the car wash went back for it but was already gone.if u can help with advice please do,,thanx so much...

I have recently aquired this vehicle and wondering if it could be brake caliper or wheel bearing. I heard that the front end should probably be rebuilt on these trucks but not sure?? Any tips would be great!

I have to press the accelerator all the way to the floor in order for it to go 20mph. Once it is above 20mph it runs fine but from 0-20 the car can't get out of its own way and it is much worse when the A/C is on. It is a '99 Toyota Camry 4cyl. My mechanic says there is nothing wrong with it when he hooks it up to the diagnostic machine. Does anyone have any suggestions for what could be wrong?
