Yes, under the truck. There is a fill plug over where the shifter linkage connects to the transmission. The fluid should come to the bottom of the hole that fill plug is screwed into.
Speedtrap is incorrect, manual transmissions use automatic transmission fluid, such as Mercon to fill the transmission.

Actually manual transmissions require different oils depending on the vehicle... Most of these answers are correct on where to check it, but check your owners manual for what type of lubricant is required, it will either be gear oil or automatic transmission fluid... If you dont have an owners manual... go or call your local autozone and they can look it up on thier computer

yes, you have to get under the truck.. on the passenger side of the transmission, about 1/2 way up the side of the transmission you should see a plug with a square indent. that is the filler hole. remove the plug using a 3/8 in ratchet drive.( do this on a flat surface) stick your finger into the hole till the 1st knuckle reaches inside. pull your finger out, if there's oil on your finger tip, the oil level is ok, if there is no oil on your finger tip, add oil until it starts to drip out.

On the side of the transmission there is a plug. Pull out the plug in stick your little finger it there. If you feel fluid within a 1/2 inch from the top, the level is good.

standard transmission doesn't use transmission fluid it uses gear oil. however to check the gear oil, use a 3/8 ratchet to unscrew the plug on the side of the transmission. unscrew that and stick your finger in the hole. if u can feel the gear oil then it's full but if u can't feel it then u need to fill it up. just pore gear oil into the hole til it runs out then replace the plug. and it's the same for the rear end.

There should be a plug on the side of the transmission.
Acceptable level is 1/4 of an inch from the bottom of the hole.

there is two 22mm plugs in that trans one high and one low pull the high drain plug a if trans fluid runs out its full if you can put your finger in the hole and touch fluid its full

Well, standard transmissions do not use fluid. They have grease in the gears and I have never had to change or check it.
