Battery is new with probably only 10 miles or so on it. But hasn't been driven in several months. Now won't start. Husband has Alzheimers & can't remember the settings for charger. It is hooked up but I don't know whether it should be at 12v 2 amp or 12 v 6 amp. Thanks so much

Either of these settings will charge your battery.
The only practical difference for the truck battery is the speed of the recharge.
6 amp would be more desirable for the dead battery, and after 4 or 5 hours either start the truck, or turn it down to 2 amps. This will finish up the charge, something the BATTERY will benefit from.
It is not necessary for the final step. If you NEED the truck sooner, charge it for 1-2 hours, then if it will start, start it and drive it!!
Sorry for your husband's condition.
Good Luck

Use the 6 amp setting for a few hours. The 2 amp setting is for maintaining a fully charged battery.

2 amp is the maintenance setting. Set it at the highest, 6 amp. Leave it alone for at least 6 hours, and it should have enough charge to start then.
