i have a 1997 mitsubishi mirage. i started seeing white smoke comig out of my car. and also when i have my car in park and i rev the engine black smoke comes out not much just a little. and i see alot of black stuff on my muffler tip.

The Odometer on recent vintage autos is run through the electrical system of your car. Why then if your battery is disconnected for any reason does the odometer not zero out. If there is a battery back up for these periods, how long will it last?

I have been having problems starting my 1995 toyota corolla DX. The guy that looked at it told us what we needed and replaced the spark plugs, distributor, distributor cap and the battery. When I turn the ignition it just clicks?? Does anyone have any idea what it could be???

whenever I put it in drive, it goes ker-clunk, and when i put it back in park, the idle goes up ridicously. I checked the carburator and it sounded really loud in there, like wisshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
What could this be?

I know that I can add a throttle body spacer, tornado(?), cold air intake, and new exhaust but Is that it and will these items help? I would appreciate any sage advice I get from other car enthusists or from someone who has already upgraded their truck.

My mother has Allstate car insurance. She hit a deer and had to pay the 200 dedutable on her car insurance, whereas my brother has State Farm car insurance and hit a deer and did not have to pay any deductable.

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7 liter V8. I'd like to boost the horsepower, but cant find anything that gives me more than like 5 horses for several hundred dollers. A friend of mine has a diesel engine and his boost has 3 setting low, med, high and even the low boosts his horspower by over 50 horses and on high he has over 450 horses. And all this for like $300-400. Why isnt there one for a V8?

So the old Hundy has right at 90,000 miles and I wanted to give her some new life again, but unfortunately I have never changed the spark plugs on this particular type of vehicle. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a good online manual or perhaps a few tips on what to look for and of course what not to do? I'm pretty good at fixing things, but unfortunately I haven't been exposed to a lot of automobile repair. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

My alt. belt broke and I replaced it along with my fan belt but when I went to start it up something started squealing and even worse something started smoking alot! The belt are on properly and are not rubbing on anything. Any ideas on what this could be?
