Get new head lamps. If you don't you won't pass inspection.

It's curious that both high beams are out at the same time. Normally one bulb goes out before the other. You can try replacing both bulbs first to see if that corrects the problem, but I'm thinking the most likely cause is that your high beam switch is bad or defective. I'd take it to a mechanic where they can test the switch and circuit for you.

Hope this helped.

I would think both high and low beams are on the same fuse.. so if you have low beams forget checking the fuses. Did you ever notice with high beams on that one side of the road was lit up more than the other?? It could be you already had one light out.. and the second finally went too. They usually go out within a month or two of each other.

Check the fuse to see if it is Burnt it is very cheep to replace. Then check the relay it is unlikely both high beams Burnt out at the same time. The relay controls them both and is less expensive than two bulbs and a relay.Sometimes you can take the low beam relay and put it in the high beam slot to check if it works they Are usually the same.good luck

If the bulbs and fuses are good replace the dimmer switch. If you are not mechanically inclined have a mechanic do it for you. Hope I have been helpful.

You usually have a high and low beam bulb. Change out the highbeam bulb if necessary. Also check your fuses....

1. Check fuses
2. Check grounding wire on battery terminal
3. Follow highbeam switch wire to check for breaks/shorts
3. Check/replace headlight dimmer switch

Check your fuse panel....if fuses are alright you probably need new headlights or you have an electrical problem...but this is unlikely ...most problems with the electrical circuitry would cause no headlights at all, not just the loss of high beams.

Get new headlights?

Better yet, get a new car. Cavaliers are about the worst small car ever made (nothing personal).
