2000 ford windstar radio quit working checked fuses in block and on radio all good plugged it back in and worked for 30 sec. and quit again and started popping thru speakers is it the radio or another elec problem?

Sounds like a poor ground or a short in the radio itself. i would replace the radio.

I would say it is most likely the radio itself.The fact that it worked briefly after unplugging it and then plugging it back in would seem to rule out a bad power supply or ground and your speakers worked briefly as well so that leaves the radio. I have worked in Ford dealerships and most have a radio repair facility that they can send a radio to and have it repaired but they usually have a fixed fee for checking out the radio in question.So call and ask them about this or just get a good aftermarket radio.

bad connection somewhere,like a bad ground.
