replace clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing

It may be time for a clutch replacement. That usually occurs when the clutch disc and or flywheel get hot spots in them. If the clutch has been replaced, the flywheel was not turned properly or in some cases, subaru flywheels can not be turned, only replaced. Have it checked for an adjustment before you start spending money, but that should start you off in the right direction.

Depending on the year, you might just need to have it adjusted ( the pads may have loosened with driving)
