I have a 95 Saturn SC1. I've been having problems with it so I took it to the dealership. My check engine light was coming on and they said it was my TRANS BODY VALVE. They said it needs to be replaced. What is a trans body valve? Is it expensive? Should I just get another transmission?

Like I said - '97 Ford Taurus.

This has been going on for about a month or so - and been getting continuously worse. It's getting hard for me to shift out of drive...I have to jiggle the shifter for about 30 seconds, before it can shift into drive. Last night - it took about a minute and a half. I didn't drive the car at all today...but just tried it out - and it worked perfectly. So, it happens - then works fine. But, like I said, I think it's getting worse.

I have been told by quite a few people that I need a new transmission.

If so, then I think that I need to trade it in, before it gets completely messed up.

Please help!! I just put a bid in on the house....there's no way I can afford a new house and a newer/different car. Getting a new transmission would be dumb. 170,000 miles - 9 years old.

My car has a problem. I am not very saavy when it comes to cars. My Legacy is idling really low. When in reverse she shakes. Literally the whole car is overcome with this shaking. The acceleration is pretty bad. its even worse when the A/C, Defogger, or heat is on. Occassionally she seems to run fine. Most of the time she doesn't. From what I guess, is it my spark plugs? They were changed about a year ago. The car also had a new radiator put in, and had a tune-up about a year ago also.

My 1996 Nissan Altima has been having problems with its speed sensor for two years now. I kept getting it replaced to no avail. Sometimes the check engine light comes on and off. Also, my speedometer needle does not go up when I accelerated only when I am goin at least 35 miles per hour. I hear Nissans have a tendency to have electrical problems. I don't know what to do. Should I replace the speed sensor, it doesn't do any good.

I've noticed that mjy radiator is leaking badly from the top, i can see the spot, so i know i need to get a new radiator. I was talking to one of my car friends, and he said to check if the fans turn on, and i just checked and they didn't turn on. I located the fuses for them, but i don't know how to check them, they are big box things that you can't see through. Do you think the fuses are the problem? What else should i check? How do i figure out if those big fuses are the problem? because i can't see through them. oh and the temperature reading on my dashboard has been normal, it still gives me the same reading that i have always had.

I've gotten my CV joint torn completely apart, balls, cage, etc, and need to get the axle that goes through the hub out in order to reinstall everything and drive my car again. Here are some pictures of what I'm talking about to help clear it up any more that I can. The area in the red is what I need to remove, followed by pictures of what it currently looks like (to give you guys an idea of what could be holding me up):

I have a 1994 Saturn. The roof liner fabric (looks like some sort of microfiber?) is separating from the foam on the interior roof. I have tried a regular spray on adhesive, but it didn't work. Please help. Thanks!

VERY LOOOOONG story short- my mechanic found nothing wrong with my car when the gage hit the "H" They said the gage is broken, but, my head mandifold is cracked in half from over heating... I just replaced my freaken thermostat and mandifold and it's still hiting the "H". What else can I do but to cry?! HELP!

I have a 1992 Toyota 4Runner that won't start. When I turn the key, I can play the radio and put on the lights, but when I turn the key further to start the engine all I hear is a loud "click." Sometimes, if I leave the key in the ignition with the radio on for several minutes, I can turn the key further and it will start.

It never makes that chugging sound you hear sometimes like the engine is having trouble turning over. It simply either clicks or starts. What do you think? Thanks so much.

i have a 96 prizm (corolla) when it starts the belts squeal for like 5 seconds and also i hear like a slight knocking from that side of the engine I also had a honda civic it would make the noise from the same side of the engine and it ran for probaly 80,000 more miles does anyone have the same problem and could someone give me an idea what it could be

I just got an 87 F-250 from a friend. The truck has sat for 4 years. What do I need to do to it before (1) attempting to start it and (2) driving it.
The tires are shot, and so is the battery, so those are obviouse things.

Should spacesavers be illegal? If one was fitted prior to an MOT it would fail, therefore it should not be on the road with one on.Manufactures only get away with it because people buy cars on looks and not functional therefore they will get away with it.
