The car has a hard time starting seeming as if the battery is nearly dead. Once it does start, it runs fine but turn it off and try to start again, and it will barely start if at all. Anyone know why this is? Whats going on and what can we do?

If the battery has removable caps, check that it is not low on water. I can't be certain if that year has a sealed battery. If it is low I suggest only distilled water to top it off with.
If the battery is not low, or it is the sealed type, try Advance Auto or Auto Zone for a load test. That will deternine the battery is not up to snuff, or if the starter is the problem. Sometimes there is no charge for the test because they think you will buy the part from them. Changing the part might be a bit of a problem if you are not familiar with the tight engine bays on these new front drivers. At the very least you will have some idea what is the problem. You don't necessarily have to go to a dealer for this repair, as there most likely are some reputable independent repair shops in your area that may be less expensive than a chrysler dealer. But, the dealers mechanics know your vehicle better than the other shops.

I take it your vehicle is out of warranty! If not buzz on down to the chrysler dealer and get it looked at.

if the battery is always "dragging" sounds like a bad alternator.if it starts good then wont after the engine is warmed up good, that may be a bad starter,or bendix in the starter. most parts stores will do a free load test on your battery and alternator for you
