If the car will not start when you turn the key but it makes a single click it is the starter, or multiple clicks it is the battery
If the car makes a clicking sounds while turning it is the cv shaft or joints if you have a front wheel drive car. If it is making a thumping sound it could be you suspension mounts.

if the engine is not turning over it is definitely the battery. i've had that problem a few times. most batteries these days only last 5 years or so. if you live in a very hot environment maybe only 3 or 4 years. get a jump and take it to a garage or dealership. if you don't have jumper cables call your insurance company. most offer some sort of roadside service as part of the fee you pay. they can give you a jump or tow the car free of charge if necessary.
many places will offer a 5 year waranty on new batteries.

If this is when you are turning a corner, etc..it is probably your cv joints. If it is when you are trying to start (turn on) your car, it could be battery, voltage regulator, or alternator. Either way you need to take it to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out.

Could be your cv boots or axels. Mine used to squeeak when I stop, to check for traffic and make a turn. But ever since the car was serviced, it doesn't do that.It could ber the brakes, too.

LOL no its not your battery now why would you think that? The clicking is from your CV joints you need to have your front axle replaced.

What would the battery have to do with it? I'd worry about the CV joint.

Possibly, or maybe the starter. Do the lights come on? Do the power windows, or door locks work, if any?
