Chevy's tend to get carbon collected and stuck in the ERG? valve. It's easy to clean out yourself - I'm a chick and can do it - or get it cleaned out at a shop - shouldn't pay more than $80.

I would say you might need new spark plugs. I have a cavalier also and I recently had some problems with it. Mine was more of a sputter thing but it kinda bucked. Auto or stick? Mine would do it mostly when I was in the lower gears. Good luck!

My Bentley Arnage had a similar problem. Turned out to be the transmission fluid, so I had the whole thing replaced.
I got it in blue this time...

When you are talking about"bucks" is it like a power surge, brakes grabbing, trying to die, or like a wheel is about to come off.

Sounds possibly like the ABS sensor on your rear axle housing is going / gone bad. It costs less than $20 and you can replace it yourself.
