how to turn off day time running lamps on a 01 grand am?

I have a 2001 pontiac grand am,I'm wanting to turn off the day time running lamps. I want it to be where I have to turn the lights on when I need them on. Right now they come on when the car is put into drive and stay on, just wondering if there was a way to do this

Locate the fuse and pull it. However you may also be enabling a another item in your auto. Check owners manual for details.

Not recommended but if you turn on the parking brake one notch it will turn off the day time running lights.
