The dealership wants $$$ because there is a computer chip and the car has to be reset -- i think they're just trying to charge me for an hours worth of labor. Has anyone had any success with just getting a regular copy of the key made?

After starting the car two days ago, the check engine light came on. When I pulled over and stopped, I noticed it was idling very low. On the RPM, the need was hovering just above zero.
Normally, It hovers just above 1(000).

What is strange, is that, despite idling so low, the car does not stall out. Also, when the car is first started, it idles normally and after a few minutes begins to idle very low.

Any idea what's going on? Thanks for the help.

Need assistance in fixing this problem. The cluster came from a 1994 trans-am. Everything else works but the tach. I tried removing the little black box located near the ignition coil, (Tach filter), and it still didn't work.

My 1997 Voyager 3.0L: The check engine light came on. I read the stored code and it is P0140, which is the oxygen sensor behind the Catalytic converter. Should I replace the sensor and how hard is it to do on that engine? Do I need special tools? Is is reachable from under the car?

I am replacing the hub assembly, and the one of the three bolts holding the hub assembly in place is stripped. I have already spent more than I wanted on parts, any inexpensive suggestions?

Well here is the problem with my FORD, it just won't shift, I start the car and and play with the shifter (automatic) and it just would not do anything in the tranny. If anyone could tell me what the problem could be, that would be essential.....I asked arround at different shops and the mentioned that it could be the actual transmision......I have a feeling that they are just beating arround the bush.......??

When I take it on a 50 mile + trip, sometimes the rpm's will go to zero and the engine will die when I put in the clutch and and take it out of gear. Then after it sits over night the rpm's will run really high when I start it, and then after running a little bit, goes back to normal. the check engine light is on when all this happens, and it only SOMETIMES happens. What could this be? Easy fix, or major tune-up needed? oh and is now backfireing a little when it happens. Do I get bad gas sometimes? Or maybe something bigger?

Only when I start my engine in the morning, or after many hourse of being off, and then I drive a bit will my engine idle get rough/stumble when I apply the brakes.

As soon as I put the gear in Park, while still holding brake down, the idle will get better. The idle will completely smooth out when I then take my foot off the brake, but if i put it back on, it'll get rough again.

I have done a complete fuel injection cleaning and replaced the air/fule filters, spark plugs, and fuel pressure regulator. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible this could be the brake booster having a vacuum leak, or any other type of vacuum leak?

Thanks in advance.
