Always use the parking brake, and on a slope in a manual transmission car put the car in gear to go uphill (first if facing uphill reverse if facing downhill).
It may be difficult to replace but that's what the car mechanic gets paid for, and better safe then sorry is a good rule to follow.

A car with an automatic transmission doesn't need the parking brake except on hills or slopes.
A car with a manual transmission should have the parking brake on every time.

The parking brake should only be used when parked on a hill or on a slope. Otherwise, you might seize your parking/hand brake which is quite costly to repair and a real pain in the a** for the mechanic to have to repair. It's a needless expense!

I guess that depends on whether you have a standard or automatic. I have an automatic and unless I am parked on the side of a mountain I never use my emergency break. Its silly if you drive an automatic to use it when your parked on a street that is flat. Anyone that tells you it is necessary is just paranoid. I could even get my crappiest of cars to run away on me. If you have a standard the yes you should always use, cause they have a mind of there own.

Do you mean hand break??? if so then no a hand break is used for Drifting. If you are taking about putting the car in park it should be used for all parking if somebody leans on the front or back of your car it would move so it is just safer to use it

Using the parking brake for anything other than parking on a STEEP hill is paranoid and unnecesary. I might use it more often on a manual than an automatic, but using it every time is still unnecesary.

i live in hills, so I just made a habit of parking it in 1st (sometimes second, doesn't really matter, right?) with the ebrake on. Sometimes on really flat ground I'll park it in gear with no brake.
You have to push the clutch in to start it anyway (at least on the Lancer I know) so those people who stall do it because they are used to letting the clutch out right after starting and don't realize the car is in gear, right?
I never thought about the TT issue, but one guy I know put a remote start in his Lancer, so he has to park it in neutral (and put something in the clutch sensor)

every time but if you live in N.Y.C I would recommend not use it.
since sometimes when there is a small spot but you have some space either ahead or in the back any one who wants to park will push your car in order to fit.
this may damage your car cause due to the brake it is going to be force

Always used. It's a safety measure in case the car pops out of gear or the transmission fails. They install 'em for a reason. In Connecticut if you fail to set the handbrake and your car rolls you're fined for it. Or worse if it lurches out of gear and runs over the little tyke riding his Big Wheel across the street in his parents driveway.
Think of it that way. Cars plowing over little kids always seem to put things in a better persepctive for most people.
