When driving slowly (particularly downhill and more noticeable after having just started my journey), I notice a metalic, tinny type cluncking sound coming from under the front of the car. It is left hand drive and sometimes I can feel the vibration on my foot when it is resting on the floor. Any ideas?

I drive a '96 Pontiac firebird and for some odd reason the left turn signal won't blink... when I turn it on it just stays on. i've checked to see if any of the bulbs were blown out and they were fine...but I’ve changed all of the bulbs and wiring anyway. it works somewhat now..but still has tendencies to get stuck and not blink...what do i check next???

I put in a new battery and the problem persists. I hear a "click" sound everytime I turn the key. I have to turn it multiple times then wait a minute. Then turn it again and it starts. It happens every morning. Quite frustrating!! Any idea of what the cause is?

I have a fairly new Chevy truck with a factory radio in it. I like to listen to AM stations but they always pickup engine and AC noise. Is there anything I can install that would help get rid of this? Thanks.

The Hyundai has been properly maintained for the last 5 years. Same owner. The car recently had a new timing chain, tires, brakes and wheel alignment in the last 8 months. It was just broad-sided in a car accident and the two driver side doors need to be replaced. There has been no damage to the frame and it drives well. Are additional repairs warranted on this high mileage car? Is it worth it? Can I expect to get more mileage out of the Hyundai to make these repairs worthwhile?

The pedal alternates between being slightly sticky and having a slight amount of play. Does it require immediate attention?

I left the roof open and it rained inside the car. They are completely soaked! (and the arm in the middle of the seats, etc.) I'm afraid that if I leave them to dry, it'll take too long and get moldy...

overdrive off, a button still works to change the rpm of engine but it still feels like it takes to long to shift. could this be a simple problem or one that needs a pro to look at it.

I was driving up a steep hill and all of a sudden the check engine light came on and both the speedometer and odometer stopped working. Everything else is fine though. Any ideas on what would need to be looked into? It's been like this for a while now and I need to get it fixed.

Thanks a bunch for any help.

The car is a used (53,000 miles) 2000 Volvo S40. After it was jumped, the car started fine. I tried several times throughout the day and it was still fine. This morning, same thing - fine. I am nervous that it will stop running because I drained too much of the battery. How can I tell? Should I just go buy another battery? Where is the best place to get one?

The panel configuration has three knobs directly under the radio. The left knob is the blower speed on an Off,1,2,3,4,5 scale, the middle knob is the temp selector, and the right knob is the directional selector. And On the right of that, I have the A/C and the rear defrostor button. When I turn the directional selector. The A/C button light comes on and a weak cold air blows in. But when I turn the fan knob, the hot air starts blowing in.

Planning on doing some off roading with my 4Runner this fall and am wondering if a 4 ton double-line come along is good to bring along for an occasional extraction? Or, is a Hi-Lift Jack a better solution? Where I am going, I would envision the possibility of getting stuck in mud. I'm not trying to winch myself up and over rocks or anything like that.

When Im driving at over 30mph my front right wheel starts humming. What could it mean. Do I need the tires rotated, the rotor checked, any ideas.

If I am in a right turn it stops humming, if Im in a left turn it hums louder.

Its a 1996 VW Golf in pretty good condition and just over 100K miles.

When the check engine light came on, I took it to the auto parts store. The trouble code that they got off of it was P1456. The problem according to the print out they gave me, states two problems: 1. evap emmission control sys leak detected. 2. fuel tank temperature sensor circuit. Do I have to take the car in right away and have these problems fixed? Are they serious? How can one code stand for two problems? The car is still running. Any help or ideas you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
