Sounds like you have a half-shaft coming apart. Maybe the CV joint. If it's rear wheel drive...stop driving it and plan on replacing the front U-joint. If you don't you could possibly roll it over. Have this checked out immediately. Good luck.

It could be a driveshaft or propshaft, but I would have expected that to cause severe vibrations at high speed too.
My guess is a loose exhaust system - either one of the rubber mountings has gone missing or one of the metal mounting pins has rusted through and detached from the exhaust.
Have a look under the car, and see if the exhaust is hanging lower than normal. When the car is cold (very important - don't want to burn your hands) try moving the exhaust where it passes under the front floor, and see if it feels too loose - there should be movement, but rubbery resistance.
Don't work / investigate under the car with it raised on a jack - either keep is on the ground (if there's enough clearance), or use proper equipment (ramps, hoist, axle stands).

Its probable the exhaust warmth look after, take a rubber mallet and faucet on the exhaust with the motor vehicle no longer working, in case you hear it that rules out all working aspects then music it down and have it rewelded or use hose clamps to tighten it decrease back up.

Yes - sounds like camshaft is hanging out. Check underneath near side ( fow LWD car) and look for something like a displaced sewing machine - otherwise could be loose manifold.

Armadillo caught under the wing. It's common where they live. Less common here- you were just unlucky and so was he.
