and i took it to a mechanic and he said it was the computer, so i replaced it and it still is the same any ideas??

Did you replace the computer with a used one,if so you may have got a bad computer.
I did this once with a car

Great mechanic...what a dumbass. Subarus don't have problems. I would replace the fuel filter. How many miles does the current filter have on it? It's possible that the fuel pump may be failing. It sounds like a fuel problem...maybe water in the fuel...but it may also be an ignition problem. I would begin with the fuel system...there's got to be something restricting it. How long has it been since the timing belt was replaced? I'd check that before replacing any parts. Best of luck.
