I don't know where you live but I think I need to move I get 650 for the same thing in my shop

Depends where you taking it. main dealer will use genuine parts and cost more. If its somewhere else, get a main dealer price first as theywill have fixed pricing for routine stuff and you can get cost of parts to compare. Its actually a prety simple job, but the parts are quite heavy.
Also depends on area of country, labour rates vary a lot.

YES THIS IS A FAIR PRICE USUALLY 1000.-1200 THE ONLY THING IS IF ITS A HYDRAULIC CLUTCH MAKE SURE THEY REPLACE THE SLAVE CYLINDER NOT SURE ABOUT 89 BUT A LOT OF THE FORD SLAVE CYLINDERS ARE INSIDE BELL HOUSING SPEED THE EXTRA IF NECESSARY WOULD REALLY SUCK TO HAVE TO PAY TO DO IT LATER

YES. This is a VERY complicated repair.
Exhaust, transfer case, drive shafts (2), front trailling arms, transmission, linkage, etc. have to be removed. And then reinstalled.
