when you hit your brakes, the pedal bounces a bit under your foot = warped rotors
if you hear grinding in your front brakes you need to change pads immediately or you will wreck rotors.
brakes work like crap, have them looked at.

ive done hundreds of brakejobs and the ONLY reason to replace a rotor is if it is warped and makeing the car pulsate when braking....gouges and grooves dont hurt anything unless theyre just grossly deep. ...my experience is that 9 times out of ten "turning" rotors is a waste of time and it wont fix a warped one....end of story period....so unless its pulsing when u stop dont get new ones...unless a caliper locked up or it was running on metal with completely gone pads and grooved it so bad that its like got 1/4" deep grooves in multiple places...dont replace it.

There is a minimum thickness imprinted on most rotors. Use a micrometer to determine if you have reached that thickness. It is also available from most auto parts stores. Just remember to measure where most of the wear is and subtract what it will require to resurface them.

look in there and see if the pads are putting grooves on the disc.most of the time you can see and feel the disc thru the rim .If its squeeking thats the wear pad telling you its time soon.most rotors arent more than 25 bucks its cheaper in the long run rather than to pay to get them turned anymore also.
