I notice this the most when I am backing out of a parking place w/ wheel slightly to the right. Once enough room to turn the wheel right to pull through the parking space performing a "u" turn. There is a loud pop from the right front , and sometimes enough to actually shake the suv.

i disconnected my radio today and now it doesn't work. also since then my interior lights dont work and neither does my central locking. any idea how this happened and how to fix this?

GMC Suburban 1990 454 auto.
viberation and noise ONLY when A/C is on

i found that the compressor brackets and front bracket (triangular with 3 or 2 wheels!) not in proper shape and cracked so i changed them along with (the belt tensioner) and of course the belt itself
i replaced the small supporting bracket behind the steering wheel (oil tank/box) too
the noise almost disappeared but i still could feel it when the car is stoped (braking when the gear is on Drive)
visualy all the pulleys seems to be on line

unfortunately no mechanic could determine whats exactly wrong one suggested that the steering wheel pump, tank and lining is not working properly and need to be replaced but i was not convinced bcuz he wasnt sure and it was alittle bit expensive to replace for a guess!
(please excuse my poor language and mauve knowledge of the parts names)
what, else, could i do to get rid of this noise ?

can i do with out?i want to have it as a dual exhaust but if i can dowithout the catilyic converters i will........is that legal?

The a/c blows cold until the vehicle is turned off and then restarted. Once I start it back up, it only feels luke-warm. I have checked for leaks and hoses to/from compressor are getting cold. No technical service bullitens are listed on this. Any ideas?

I am using the Haynes Manual, however the book shows it very simply. When i look in the engine, i have to remove three belts just to get to the water pump. Replacing the pump should be relatively straight forward. Getting to it is the problem.

Reason why i want to change it, is because my car makes a rough knocking/gurgling sound when i accelerate or idle at a high rpm, and i think that my current water pump is clogged up and not allowing coolant to get through the engine block.

Any suggestions out there?

I have a silver car and he had a blue car. He hit me hard enough where there is a dent, but his paint on my car is the biggest problem right now. Any suggestions on how to do this.

I have a 1997 Accord DX with 100,600 miles on it. A couple of weeks ago the air conditioner went out. The fan still works, but it just pushes exterior air inside. I took it to a oil change place to check it out. They "serviced" it for $100 and told me that there is a hole in the pipes and it can't be fixed and has to be replaced. They quoted me around $1,000 to do this.

1. Is this a reasonable quote? (I haven't taken it anywhere else yet.)

2. Why can it not be repaired?

3. Is there a less expensive alternative? I can't see spending $1,000 on a car worth about $3,000!

Please help!!!

My car check engine light came on, so I took it in and put it on a computer and that is what they came up with, it needs a O2 sensor, never even heard of it, but I know it makes a big diference in how your car runs. It seems like it is really not wanting to go when you start out from a stop, it really bogs down.

I had my injector o-rings and fuel rail recently replaced. Before it was replaced though, the engine shook a lot. Now that these things are fixed, it still shakes. When I turn on the AC its worse. Could I have a broken engine mount?
