I had my injector o-rings and fuel rail recently replaced. Before it was replaced though, the engine shook a lot. Now that these things are fixed, it still shakes. When I turn on the AC its worse. Could I have a broken engine mount?

Broken Engine mount is obviously a possibility. Broken engine mounts should be easy to spot, and you can see if the vibration is being transfered from the engine to the chassis. However there are just too many reasons for poor idle to give a good answer without diagnosing the vehicle.

When you had the fuel rail/injectors replaced, I'm assuming this was done because someone diagnosed the fact that the engine was not getting enough fuel. Was the Fuel filter replaced also? This would be a more common cause of low fuel pressure. Also try running a few bottles of fuel injection cleaner by pouring the stuff down your gas tank. Most places sell the bottles for under $3/each. This will help clear off any clogs that may be occurring else where as well as clean off some of the varnish that may have formed in various components.

Other causes of shaking/poor idle include poor ignition, poor ignition timing, bad valves... The list is just too numerous.

Good Luck

Hello,

I myself have recently just faced the same problem with my car. A toyota corolla CS hatchback. My car also pre-ignited(engine wants to keep running after you turn the ignition off). My engine use to shake heaps and heaps i thought it was seriously gonna fall out or something, luckily my dads friend is a mechanic and took the time to look at my car. I had a broken engine mount and got it fixed quite cheapily. You could examine the engine mounts yourself, or even stop by a mechanics shop most mechanics are nice and examining your engine mounts shouldn't cost you a thing it's a simple 1 minute operation to check them.

Hope this helps.

Is your engine running correctly ?
If your engine has a mis-fire or is just plain running bad you will have the same results. Running the a/c just puts more load on the engine so it makes the problem seem worse and will make it run worse.
You may just need a good tune up and overall check to see if the engine is running properly. Find a good reputable technician to check it out for you

yeah it could be a mount but normally all old cars have shaky engines and when you turn on the ac it just makes the engine work harder so its no surprise that it shakes harder too but i wouldnt worry too much about it

i think you hit the nail right on the head. sounds like it is a broken motor mount. check with a welding shop this could be a cheap repair if you find the right person to do it.

Have someone check the motor mounts.....it sounds to me that they are either broke or very weakened by the weather changes!!!

Hope this helps or at least gets you looking in the right direction!!!
