Save yourself a hundred bucks.
Go to autozone or advanced auto or one of those parts stores. They have the computers to check it and will do it for free.

Take it to an Audi dealership and have them diagnose it. They will find out what exactly what is causing the light to come on. This diagnosis is well worth the money spent.
If you go to Auto Zone or someplace like that, they will only give you the code which doesn't tell you much at all. It will only tell you what the circuit the failure is in, not what the failure is. So spend the $100.00 or so bucks to have it diagnosed, you will be happy you did in the end.

I would suggest that you take your audi to an audi dealership for the most accurate diagnostic analysis because they most likely have had experience
with all audi related problems. If you are short on cash any auto repair shop
with a diagnostic machine should be able detect and repair the problem. But the chances that they have the parts are slim.

I'd check these things first:
Oil
Transmission fluid
Radiator fluid
Every belt - make sure they dont flew more than an inch under the pressure of your finger. Push about as hard as you do on a doorbell.
Test the battery if you have the means.
If none of that pans out - go to the dealer.

Scan for codes. Most auto parts stores sell or rent scanners. They tell you what code is stored, and that will tell you what component is bad.
