If you are the insured person and die in a crash, do your beneficiaries get anything? I have a very good policy with AAA and I was just curious. My truck stalled out on a turn today and it just got me thinking. I can't call the agent because it's a holiday weekend and they are closed.

Any insurance agents out there?

I live in Germany, but I have insurance through an American company. This is what happened two days ago. While driving to work in the morning, a car came into my lane. The person was turning onto the Autobahn, but was turning to early. I swerved to the right to avoid a collision and hit a concrete wall. I believe that my car is now totaled. The other car did not stop and there was no one else on the road. All I had to give the police, was the make of the other car. I didn't get a plate or who was in the vehicle. It was dark and his headlights were bright. The police are investigating it, but no answers yet. My insurance is still waiting for the accident report. If they can't find the person who was driving the car, will my insurance still cover me for my loss? And what about my injuries?

I witnessedarear end collision right in front of me.The car in front of me rearended the car in front of them at around30 MPHThere really wasn't any breaking involded at alland I called 911 and reported it immediately as soon as I swerved to my left to avoid running into the back of the car in front of me and got to a parkinglot really close by. Then 7 days later I receive a letter in the mailtelling me that I was involved in a car accident and that I need to contact them Immediately.I was clueless at that point and I told them that there must have been some kind of clericalerror because I wasn't involved and I shouldn't have got that letter. Then my insurance guy asked me how company X got my licence plate #.Then it hit me what had happened. The person behind me wrote down my licence plate # and told me I probably run into the car in front of me, but it doesn't make any sense. If I hit the car in front of me there would obviously be damage to the back of the car andthe frontofmytruck.

The overall condition of the car itself is fine, but the plastic bumper fell off, i just need to order a new one and put it back, I want to extend the rental limit till the car is fixed. Is it legal if I go to a body shopand fix the car there without telling the rental company? (since it will look exactly the same...)
