If you are the insured person and die in a crash, do your beneficiaries get anything? I have a very good policy with AAA and I was just curious. My truck stalled out on a turn today and it just got me thinking. I can't call the agent because it's a holiday weekend and they are closed.

Any insurance agents out there?

Typically, depending on your State's filings, there is a coverage(s) that you can buy on your automobile insurance.

You can normally buy an accidental death coverage on some auto policies or if your State offers Personal Injury Protection, it will pay the amount selected.

If your car stalled and you were hit by another vehicle, the other party may or may not pay for death, depending on the circumstance.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

As mentioned, some states require No-Fault or Personal Injury Protection coverage that _may_ extend some benefit. But this amount won't be much and should not be relied upon to support anyone that relies on your income.
