Well I went and gave all the necessary documents and the girl came back and said that the insurance was invalid! She said she had to keep the insurance certificate and I had to ring my company! They said that they had not been receiving payments for the past 3 months! I was totally baffled and checked my account! (I dont take money from it as my money just goes toward the bills) Sure enough the money was all there! They said that I had cancelled the direct debit which I didnt! Anyhow I have just sorted out my insurance with another company that wont mess me around! The question is if I go in on Monday to the tax office will I get in any bother for using an invalid certificate today?

My car was hit and the person ran. The car was parked outside my house. Would I clame this under my house insurance or under my auto insurance? Should I pay a deductible if its a claim under my auto insurance? I wasn't even near the car.

My car was totaled and the insurance company finally gave me a decent offer that I'm going to accept. Can they change their offer after I accept it? For example, if they offer me $5,000 and I accept, can they, before I receive a check, turn around a week later and say they're only going to give me $4,000?

I recently was hit and my car might have frame damage. I posted a different question before but in doing research I ran into something called "diminished value". Can someone explain this? Is this a CA insurance law?

Got into an accident. Not my fault. The other guys insurance has already claimed my car as totaled but because it's an older car they're giving me a check for the value of the car plus letting me keep it with a clear title, not salvaged. We haven't reached an agreement as to the value of the car yet. My question is, can I sell my car before we've settled the amount they'll be giving me for the car? The insurance agent told me I could do whatever I wanted with the car since they're letting me keep it with the same clear title. She said I can keep it or sell it, it doesnt matter. But she wasn't clear about if we have to reach an agreement as to the value of the car before I can sell it.

I was hit by a driver on the freeway in California. I sustained $8,656.00 in medical bills as a result of my injuries. Today the adjuster offered me a settlement for the amount of $18,156.00. HOWEVER, he broke the settlement down reflecting an error in my total medical bills showing a total of $14,656. The error is clear.

My question is two fold. Could the adjuster have done this on pupose? I am okay with the final sum amount, but NOT how they broke it down. $3500 for pain and suffering is rediculously low, but again the end number, be it incorrect would be fine.

Also, should I accept this final offer amount, can they come back against me and say oooops, we made a mistake, you owe us? The settlement has clearly been broken down, soI am aware of the error. Can and will this matter.

Someone told me this is might be a slick move adjusters use. He predicted that before he sends me the release of claim, he will "discover" the error and bind me to my agreement based on $3500 PS?

My brand new car (1 month) was in an accident. He made an illegal left as I made a LEGAL left and we collided. Police report is supposed to say its his fault. I think there is frame damage because part of the dash inside was popping up. Initial damage estimate is 2000 (not counting frame damage)

Can I get the car totalled? How?

I dont want the car anymore. What can I do.

Will i lose value?

I took my wifes car out for a drive last night and slammed right into the back of a Brand New Honda NSX, which in turn slammed into a newish BMW that was infront of it.

The insurance on my car covers me driving other peoples cars, and my wife has one of those open driver policies which covers anyone driving her car.

When I called my insurance company this morning, they wont cover me driving my wifes car because of the open driver policy, they said the third party extension is only valid if i am not covered by any other insurance

When my wife called her insurance company, they said they wouldnt cover me because of the third party extension and the open driver policy is only valid if the driver isnt covered by any other insurance.

What can I do? Because I cant afford to fix those cars.

I bought an old mondeo with the intention of taking the engine out and using it for a project i had. Since then my work van has died and i need a car and was wondering if i could put the mondeo back on the road. When i bought it the guy sent the V5 off to say it had been scrapped. Can it be put back on the road? How would i go about it? Is it going to cost a bit of money as i only paid £80 for it and dont really want to spend much? Cheers everyone

It's about time that I applied to get a driver's license out here in Colorado, where I've been living for more than a year. I still have my valid IL license, what will be required? Will I have to take a written and driver's test? Also, what is required for me to get my car registered out here, as my plates are expired.
