I live in Ohio and have to place 2 license plates on my car.

from Michigan and we only have to have 1
saves the state quite a bit in manufacturing fees
as long as there is some plate to identify the vehicle why double up??

In Alaska you are supposed to have 2 by law but when you register a new car they only provide one for you.

1 here in Arkansas. It saves money but also makes it hard to report crimes if the car is coming toward you.
