HI
I am in the State of CA and just passed the Written part of the drivers test. Can i buy a car on that temporay license. Its a proper license, not a permit to drive with an adult who has a license. I got a temp license because i was drivig in India.
So is it going to be a problem registering the car on a temp license

It happened in april 06 and im still waiting. they eventually offered me 9,900 which my lawyer refused. My lawyer is now telling me that the ins company Geico is investigating because they beleive I have other coverage! I was a passenger who does not even have a drivers licence yet. Does anyone know how long it takes to get this thing over and done with? I did 6 months on chiro and 3 months of pain management.

I accidentally reversed my car into a tree and I damaged the bumper. I took it to a collision repair shop and they said i have to replace the bumber they gave me an estimate of $1,200.00. I have collision coverage with my insurance. The deductible is $500. So does this mean that i will only be responsible for paying the first 500 dollars?
And will this mean that my car insurance rate will go up after this? If someone can give me a quick advise on this, im not exactly sure how it works.

ok so i had my mot test today and obviously by the title of this question it failed. my question is what can i do if i think the guy who did the mot did something dodgy.
i mean he has failed me on the fact the side lights dont work and that the offside front brake disc excessively pitted. now for starters i drove into the test centre with my side lights on as it was raining and they were working perfectly before i went into the test. and secondly, now i have only had my car a few months (renault scenic s reg) but the guy who had it before me had replaced the brake plates and showed me (and i think i still have it somewhere) the receipt for the work that was carried out so if the brake plate was excessivly pitted how could this have happened in the space of 6 months? could the mot tester have changed this whilst doin the mot. aside from this when i took my car out of the station my car didnt sound right and had aquired a new knocking noise to it and the car in general didnt feel safe..

I was driving up a busy road earlier it had cars parked on my side of the road. Well the cars in front of me were going round the parked cars and I looked to see if the way as clear which to me it did look clear, then I saw this white van which was stationary on the opposite side of the road he was letting the other traffic through. There was no where for me to pull in so I carried on. Well the van came right at me I stopped as I knew I couldn't fit through the gap and ended up smashing my wing mirror as I tried getting out of his way. Anyway his van got scraped by my other wing mirror and he stopped and gave me a right mouthfull. He was foreign and had pretty good english, I tried to explain my side of the story but he didn't really listen. Anyway I gave him my details etc but I forgot to get his and as he was so angry I didn't get out of my car to see the damage done to his van. When I looked at my wing mirror that supposedly scrtched his van it didn't even have paint on it surely if

Last night a car hit my car in a very busy intersection. Basically I was in my far left lane and she was in the middle lane. She tried to get into my lane but it was too late. I wasn't even going fast, I was going 40mph which would've given me enough time to stop had I seen her trying to get in my lane or even a turn signal which she didn't use. So out of nowhere her car hits mine right by the headlight leaving a dent and some scratches. So my question is should I file a claim? There was no police report and no injuries and her car was a rental with full coverage insurance. She was obviously at fault. What do I do?

My family has been a customer of a single office of State Farm for over 30 years, through two agents. The original guy was incredible--took the time to know and understand my family, their needs and concerns, he used to come to the house...real old school. The "new" guy (past 10 years) has been, well, either an absentee at best, or a @$$h01e at worst. My father is getting older, and has gotten himself into a few (3 or less) fender-benders and one accident that was close to a total loss, all over the past decade. My mother has a perfect record. I've had a few moving violations, two cases of total loss, and a couple fender-benders, again over the past decade. My most recent total loss was complicated by a DUI charge as well. Now here's the BS part...State Farm's office took it upon themselves to notify any other family members they had (who are NOT on the same policy as my parents and I) that my license was suspended (they waited until two weeks before I get it back).

Heres the story: I woke up to go to work one morning and my car wasnt there. I made sure nobody was screwing with me first then I called 911 to report my car was stolen. They ask me all sorts of questions and then tell me they found my car overnight parked at a street light in the middle of the road. They said the keys were found in the ignition and it was reported abandoned. The police department had my vehicle impounded. So I went to pick up my truck at the impound yard. It wouldnt start. The engine was fried and blown. My insurance company sent a man to look and asses the truck. He said my oil pan was cracked and they prolly ran it with no oil causing it to blow. My insurance company says that it was poor maintanance that caused my engine to blow, not the car being stolen. The body shop my vehicle is at says they hit something causing the crack. My insurance company wont repair my vehicle. Is their any more action I can take? what can I do?

I found a 'mysterious' registration number in my mom's diary, and there's a possibility it's a car she's interesting in buying for me. I know it's a black clio, but I want to know what year it is.

It's a personalised registration so I don't know the year.

I need somewhere free to find this out if possible?

A neighbor who is giving up driving offered me her plates - she says she's had them for over 50 years. The are a six digit number, like, 852055.

She seemed to think this was very valuable, and she was doing me a big favor. She said many people have asked her for the plates.

I was clueless. What's up with old plates? Should I accept them and transfer my registration to them?
